Multi Stage Correction

Multi Stage Correction

This service is designed for vehicles with significant defects, dramatically improving the finish by eliminating nearly all swirls, bird droppings etching, and most scratches. We typically achieve a 90% to 95% correction of paint imperfections.

In some cases, localized wet sanding is required to remove severe imperfections or the orange peel effect often found after paint repairs. However, the total paint thickness and defect severity can limit the extent of correction. Achieving 100% correction is rarely possible, and compromises are necessary in areas with thin clear coats to avoid the risk of striking through.

This service represents the highest level of paint correction we offer, providing a substantial transformation, enhancing your vehicle’s value, and potentially saving you the expense of a respray.

The Process

Wheels & Arches

We begin with the wheels, using a combination of wheel and tire brushes along with wheel cleaners and degreasers to clean the wheels, barrels, and arches. Then, we rinse each wheel to remove any loose dirt and grime.

Extensive Safe Wash

We apply citrus pre-wash and snow foam to the entire vehicle to help remove dirt and reduce the risk of swirls and scratches. This is rinsed off with high-pressure water. Using the two-bucket method with Shampoo and a microfiber wash mitt, we wash the vehicle from top to bottom, rinsing the mitt after each panel. Finally, we use a Karcher K4 for a high-pressure rinse, effectively removing shampoo and dirt.

Decontamination

Decontamination is crucial for achieving a great finish. We use chemicals to remove tar, iron filings, and sap from your paintwork. First, we apply Tar to soften the tar, then agitate it with a soft microfiber cloth to remove stubborn spots. After rinsing, we apply a Iron remover to the painted surfaces and wheels, then rinse again. Finally, the vehicle is brought inside to be dried with blow dryers and drying towels.

Machine Polishing

Prior to polishing, we may feel the need to wet sand certain, heavier marks out of the paint, that just polishing wouldn't remove on it's own. Doing this allows us to remove heavier marks leaving you with a very high standard finish.

Once the vehicle is prepped, we begin our three-stage paint enhancement by testing a small area to determine the most effective compound and pad for your vehicle. We use 1", 2", 3", and 5" pads to ensure every part of your vehicle is thoroughly covered, leaving no area untouched.

In our multi stage correction, we start by going over the entire car with a heavy cutting compound to cut through those swirl marks and defects and possible sanding marks, we then will help this process by using a secondary, slightly less harsh medium cutting compound and then move onto refining to bring the clarity and depth back into your paintwork.

In this stage we we would also use a mixture of pads ranging from firm to soft for the ultimate finish.

Finishing

To complete the process, we will apply protection if required, this can either be a hard wax, spray sealant or one of our Supass Ceramic Coatings. We also apply tire dressing, treat exterior trims, and clean the glass inside and out. Before handing over the keys, we meticulously inspect all exterior surfaces to ensure they meet our standards of cleanliness.

Protecting your vehicle from the elements not only maintains its cleanliness but also potentially enhances its resale value. Depending on the protection needed, we apply spray sealants such as Infinity Wax Express and InstaGloss or we can apply a hard wax which offers up to 6 months protection but isn’t as durable as a ceramic coating.

We would always recommend a ceramic coating after a machine polish for maximum results and durability.

In our two stage machine polish you can expect to see a really strong difference in your vehicles paintwork.  Not only is it going to be more glossy and improve clarity, but also reduce and remove upto 95% of swirls and paint defects leaving your vehicle looking truly fantastic at an affordable level.

Our three stage, allows for more cutting thanks to this being its own step rather than we use a secondary less aggressive compound to help remove even more marks in the paint before moving onto finishing compound to refine any hazing left behind.
